Skills
Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems.
Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, and familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Experience with agile development methodologies is preferred.
Roles
Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
Execute various types of tests, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects or issues in the software and work with developers to resolve them.
Create and maintain automated test scripts if using automation tools and integrate these into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Review and analyze requirements and design documents to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and constraints and provide feedback on usability and functionality.
Provide detailed reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall quality of the software.
Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports for future reference and compliance purposes.
Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall product quality.
Ensure that the software meets user expectations and provides a good user experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
4-5 years of experience in software testing, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience working with a software or technology company will be an added advantage.
