Objectives
Are you ready to champion cross-functional collaboration with the management, teams, clients and liaise between departments to ensure that contracts and all legal responsibilities are carried out appropriately. At Crown interactive, we are seeking a Legal and Compliance Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, contract management, taking minutes of meetings, contract management as well as providing administrative support to the board of directors and management team.
Skills
Understanding of corporate laws, governance practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to the technology industry.
Ability to ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations, such as filing necessary documents, maintaining registers, and facilitating company meetings.
Meticulousness in reviewing legal documents, contracts, and company records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with board members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
Capacity to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and coordinate with various departments within the company.
Roles
Ensure compliance with corporate laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the tech industry.
Organize board and management meetings, prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and manage communication with stakeholders.
Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company's interests. Monitors contract performance and compliance and recommend improvements and innovations to oversight of contract process.
Prepare and file necessary documents, such as annual reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings.
Maintain statutory registers, update corporate records, and ensure proper documentation of board decisions and company policies.
Experience in managing board and management activities.
Identify potential legal and compliance risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
Facilitate effective communication between the board, management, and external stakeholders.
Provide administrative support, minutes of meetings, maintain company records, and ensure adherence to corporate governance best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years working experience.
Industry experience will be an added advantage (Technology).
First degree in Law.
A master's degree will be an added advantage.
A certification from Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Of Nigeria (ICSAN) will be an added advantage.
Must have attended Law School.
Board Management Experience will be an added advantage.
