A private cloud that pulls together Crown's SaaS Platform and Government Platform capabilities to run a bank's operational processes end-to-end — everything except the core banking system itself.

Every layer is licensee-owned. Crown builds the stack; it never holds what runs on it.

Overview

Banking Edition is a private cloud deployment of Crown Interactive's technology, purpose-built for banks. It draws on capabilities from two existing Crown platforms — the CICOD SaaS Platform and the 1Gov Government Platform — combined with the compliance modules and integrations a bank needs, to cover the full range of a bank's standard operating procedures. It deliberately excludes the core banking system (the ledger and transaction engine), but integrates with it wherever a process requires it.

What it draws on

Workflow Manager (SaaS Platform) — process automation and approvals
Customer Order Management (SaaS Platform) — request and case handling
Enterprise Service Bus (SaaS Platform) — integration to core banking and other systems
Business Intelligence (SaaS Platform) — operational reporting and dashboards
ECMS & Document Management (Government Platform) — records and document control
Drive, Mail & Memo (Government Platform) — internal correspondence and storage
Gov SSO & Identity (Government Platform) — unified access control
Compliance modules — built to the bank's regulatory and audit requirements

Worked example: the credit process

Banking Edition's credit and loan workflow takes a credit request from origination through to disbursement and monitoring, with every stage logged, routed and auditable.

Credit request origination & intake
Credit assessment & scoring workflow
Documentation & collateral management
Approval routing, by mandate and threshold
Disbursement instruction to core banking
Post-disbursement monitoring & review

Core banking, integrated not replaced

Banking Edition does not replace a bank's core banking system. It sits alongside it, automating the operational processes around lending, compliance and internal workflow, and integrates to the core banking system via the Enterprise Service Bus wherever a process needs to read from or write to it — for example, triggering a disbursement once a credit approval workflow completes.
